During the response phase, we develop a technical foundation and knowledge of local practice. Using this foundation and knowledge, we partner with national governments, the private sector, and international organizations to develop and implement reconstruction strategies.
In Haiti, we developed a platform for repairing 100,000 earthquake-damaged buildings. This groundbreaking program uses a PDA-based platform, and includes training more than 1000 masons and 600 engineers, and developing a repair technical platform.
We also provide an international-standard construction management system to speed up the construction process and monitor quality control. For the private sector, we engineer repairs and strengthening using High Performance Earthquake Engineering.
Making the world a better place is our passion, and it drives our Disaster Mitigation, Response, and Reconstruction practice. We devote our world-renowned structural engineering expertise to disaster-affected communities and countries. We not only engineer safe structures, but also help build human capacities around the globe. This is the legacy that will last for generations after reconstruction has been completed.
