Bob Glasgow has been with Miyamoto International since 1991. He has provided structural engineering solutions for a wide variety of projects, including medical office buildings, hospitals, commercial office buildings, retail buildings, community centers, active adult communities, senior living and care facilities, churches, historic buildings, higher education institutions, laboratories, and industrial buildings. His expertise also includes high-performance earthquake engineering, and seismic qualification of nonstructural elements, such as suspended acoustic and metal panel ceilings, using dynamic shake-table testing. The passion for structural and earthquake engineering that Bob has is evidenced by his attention to detail and high-quality building designs and construction documentation.
An active member of the Structural Engineers Association of California of Central California, Bob is also a past president of the organization. He has an extensive track record of speaking engagements on earthquake engineering and seismic qualification through testing. As an adjunct professor at California State University, Sacramento, Bob has taught earthquake engineering, steel design, and structural analysis.
