Infrastructure
- Roads: 8 national-road segments blocked by landslides in the Ruteng, Reo, Ende, and Maumere corridors. Land access to Reo reopened for SAR at 06:00 WITA on 16 August.
- Airports: 5 of 15 NTT airports affected. All runways remain usable, with damage limited to terminals.
- Ports: 2 ports heavily damaged and 2 ferry-crossing facilities affected.
- Fuel: Only 32 of 52 filling stations (SPBU) in Flores operating. 20 are down due to power, damage, or safety issues.
Urgent Needs
BNPB, 15 August 2026 at 17:00 WIB: shelter, post and platoon tents (15 + 12 + 20), rice (30 t), camp beds (1,000), blankets (1,000), mats (1,000), kitchen sets (500 packages), water tanks (12 × 2,200 L), generators (10 × 5 kVA), handy-talkies (10), torches, and medicine as needed.
IHCP members also flagged clean water, ready-to-eat food, shelter and hygiene kits, emergency sanitation, psychosocial support, and protection/access for children, older people, pregnant and breastfeeding women, people with disabilities, and people needing routine treatment for chronic conditions.
Response Highlights
Government
- President ordered 50,000 food-aid packages dispatched within 1 to 2 days. Priorities are food, water, tents/shelter, and generators.
- BNPB leadership has been on-site since 15 August. Daily coordination meetings are running. A Media Center has been activated with daily updates at 17:00 WITA, with the main post in Labuan Bajo and a tactical post in Maumere.
- Ministry of Public Works: at least 4 loaders and 2 excavators deployed. Ministry of Health is activating Health Emergency Operations Centers. Kemensos is moving logistics from Kupang to Nagekeo/Sikka.
Humanitarian / NGO
- IHCP convened NGO coordination on 15 August. A joint secretariat opened on 16 August at BPBD NTT via the NTT DRR Forum and HFI Hub.
- PMI: approximately 35 personnel and 7 ambulances. Tents at RSU Komodo and RSUD Ende. 300 hygiene kits, 250 mattresses, 100 baby kits, and 5,000 L water delivered.
- Plan Indonesia is deploying to 6 locations from 16 August. Caritas activated 4 dioceses. Also mobilizing: CIS, Save the Children, JMK, Penabulu, MDMC, Kitabisa.com, and other HFI Hub members.
