The plant is composed of 51 structures having a total area of approximately 40,000 m2. A detailed structural assessment and retrofit design study were carried out for the selected buildings in the plant to reduce the possible losses that may arise during or after an earthquake. Since non-structural elements in the buildings can also pose big risk for the safety of people in the plant, potential risks arising from nonstructural elements were identified and retrofitting details were provided as a part of Earthquake Risk Mitigation Plan.
