As a Board Member of Miyamoto International, Ed Friedrichs brings more than 42 years of experience in developing high-performance organizations.
In 2000, Ed was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Gensler, as President and CEO, Ed helped transform Gensler’s offices into a seamless platform for global delivery. He co-created the firm’s management structure, an Executive Council comprised of the next generation of leadership.
Ed currently serves as Chairman of Zweig White; providing strategic consulting services which enhance the performance of his client organizations. His book, Long-Cycle Strategies for a Short-Cycle World, describes his strategies for the creative enterprise. He has served on the Executive Council for the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) and is a “Fellow” in both societies.
In the community, Ed is a leader of the Boy Scouts of America and serves on the Executive Board of the San Francisco Bay Area Council. Ed and his wife Margaret live in Reno. Ed spends his vacations with Margaret motorcycling throughout the US and Europe.
