Reno

Miyamoto International, a global leader in earthquake structural engineering, established its Reno office to bring its seismic expertise to one of the West’s most seismically active regions. With 20 locations worldwide in high-risk seismic zones, Miyamoto provides critical support to building owners, investors, builders, and government agencies to enhance resilience against strong earthquakes.

Serving the Reno, Sparks, and Lake Tahoe regions, the office has been instrumental in delivering cutting-edge, high-performance engineering solutions rarely seen in the area. With extensive experience across a wide range of projects—including education and healthcare facilities, parking structures, tilt-ups, historic restorations, and high-rises—Miyamoto continues to raise the bar for seismic safety and innovation.

As northern Nevada experiences rapid expansion, including the Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center (TRIC), Miyamoto’s expertise ensures that structures not only meet life-safety standards but also remain functional after a seismic event. Beyond commercial projects, Miyamoto actively engages in nonprofit initiatives, reinforcing its commitment to building safer, more resilient communities.
