Miyamoto International offered structural engineering services for the 85,000-SF contemporary office building known as 52Ten, located at 5210 Pacific Concourse. The modernization of the exterior façade and interior improvements of the existing two-story commercial building included various site enhancements: a two-story lobby with plentiful break and meeting areas; a noteworthy outdoor space that provides even more break and meeting areas; and an on-site food service café with abundant indoor and outdoor seating. Miyamoto encountered unique design and detailing opportunities when connecting the plaza improvements to the existing glazing system. Working with the architectural and construction teams, Miyamoto managed to develop a solution that allowed little to no disruption to the glazing system.
