Angelita Lind Stadium

Angelita Lind Stadium

The Angelita Lind Stadium is an important location for the municipality of Patillas. Meant for Double-A baseball games, the stadium was named after Angelita Lind, a gold-medalist athlete born and raised in the municipality, who was known as “The Angel of Puerto Rico”. The stadium was closed after being damaged by the winds and rain of Hurricane Maria.

Miyamoto provided comprehensive rehabilitation efforts for the stadium that encompassed electrical, civil and structural components. Specifically, the endeavor focused on addressing damages incurred during Hurricane Maria, aiming for a complete design overhaul to restore functionality and safety to Angelita Lind Stadium. Our design replaced a part of the roof, lighting fixtures, air conditioning units, acoustic ceilings and paint. The electrical design was particularly challenging as the entire system had to be replaced.
