This landmark structure is located only a few yards from The Strand, in Long Beach’s Belmont Shore neighborhood. Miyamoto provided a feasibility study for seismic improvements using performance-based engineering, offering an innovative and economical design that improves safety while it preserves the openness of the facility and its remarkable ocean views. We also worked on preliminary design of a major expansion to convert the facility into a comprehensive sports recreation and entertainment venue.
