Boulcott Village Apartments

Boulcott Village Apartments

Miyamoto International NZ (formerly Miyamoto Impact) was commissioned by Boulcott Village Properties to manage the design and construction of a new serviced apartment building in the Wellington CBD. This stylish Wellington development project included a ‘new build construction’ of 54 serviced apartments in a tower block. A two-storey car park was required, as was extensive site works. Key to this project was a cost-effective and deadline-driven solution.

We oversaw all aspects of the project — from consultant team establishment, design management, contractor procurement and Engineer to the Contract, and final handover of the keys of a fully furnished, serviced apartment block.

Through our management expertise, we identified cost-saving opportunities for the client in both the construction process and in sourcing products. We sourced products such as floor tiles and furniture from suppliers in China and Europe, and encouraged the client to obtain raw materials directly, rather than through an intermediary to bring about cost savings.

Located off the very busy Boulcott Street, the steep site presented logistical challenges and required careful consideration of the neighbours. We provided the leadership to meet all the key deliverables and deliver client satisfaction.
