A rapid structural risk assessment was conducted for the BP Gemlik facility structures against potential earthquakes and other service loads based on visual inspection, review of the structural drawings and documents available as well as spot checks and calculations if required. In the report, cost estimations of potential retrofitting application were given and further detailed assessment requirements were determined for the buildings with structural risks. The estimated remaining life expectancy for the buildings with no risk was also determined based on the construction date, maintenance and environmental conditions.
