The team provided electrical engineering services for a prefabricated metal building of approximately 10,000 square feet, single-story and with mezzanine storage. The building’s electrical tie-in was done at the main switchboard located at the site, and cables were appropriately sized to meet the voltage drop code requirement. We designed the power and low voltage conduit trench details as the cables were brought in through underground trenches. We provided power for mechanical equipment, lighting, receptacles, telecom and data equipment, and fire alarm and public address systems. We designed LED lighting for interior areas, high- bay and mezzanine, and exterior site lighting, and ran photometric calculations to determine appropriate light levels. Lighting controls were added to comply with the California Energy Code, and we prepared Title 24 energy compliance forms. We also performed construction administration, commissioning and close-out for this project in a timely manner.
