Crossroads School for Arts & Sciences Pac Air Building Adaptive Reuse

Crossroads School for Arts & Sciences Pac Air Building Adaptive Reuse

Crossroads School for Arts & Sciences is wholly dedicated to serving the “greater community.” By engaging students with meaningful learning and community service projects, they seek to promote positive social change in the world. With a similar goal in mind to make the world a better, safer place, Miyamoto worked closely with the school from 2014 to 2019 to improve its campus. The Pac Air Building was the adaptive reuse of an existing 12,000-SF tilt-up industrial building into a gymnasium and recreation center for Crossroads School for Arts & Sciences. Our work included a complete interior renovation and strengthening of the existing roof for new rooftop HVAC units and associated screening. The Pac Air Building is one of a series of retrofit and remodeling projects we performed on the campus, including: • Theatre Building Seismic Retrofit and Modernization • Keck Science Building Classroom Conversion • Pac Air Building Classroom Conversion • Maintenance Building Seismic Retrofit • Stephen Morgan Middle School ADA Improvements • Upper School Admin Building Seismic Retrofit • Trives Administration Building Seismic Retrofit
