Crystal Geyser Water Company Expansion

Crystal Geyser Water Company Expansion

By today’s standards, Crystal Geyser Water Company is a US household name, as they have been producing and sourcing their bottled sparkling mineral water since 1977 throughout the country. With this growth in renown came a need for more space for production. This expansion project was held in two phases. Phase 1 focused on blow molding, water processing and facility operations and involved the purchase and installation of equipment. It was paramount during this phase that the team ensured that all systems communicated correctly with each other. Phase 2 saw the addition of a new 100,000-SF warehouse, which included a canning system, a semi-automated racking system and room for a possible glass bottling system. As part of the expansion, Miyamoto provided foundation systems for several large tanks. One foundation system required sloped floors under three 58,000-gallon water tanks. Additionally, the filtration equipment on the north side of the facility had to be relocated to the newly constructed maintenance building on the south side, this included several smaller tanks and a 25,000-gallon water tank.
