Eisenhower La Quinta George and Julia Argyros Medical Center

Eisenhower La Quinta George and Julia Argyros Medical Center

Limited by an existing urban campus, Eisenhower Health Centers made a plan to develop a satellite campus that could bring state-of-the-art healthcare to a growing market. The three-story, 96,000-square-foot George and Julia Argyros Health Center we designed is the first building on this new campus. It houses a multi-specialty medical group, an orthopedic single-specialty group, a family practice residency, an imaging center, radiation oncology, wellness facilities, and urgent care.

Located prominently on a hill, this facility presents a highly visible image of quality care to the community and sets the tone for the overall impression of the campus. The project presented many challenges, including the design of the Linear Accelerator Room (LINAC), which was seismically designed separately from the building in case of seismic activity to protect crucial medical equipment.
