The new, 54,361-SF, state-of-the-art Gavilan Learning and Student Resource Center will replace Gavilan’s existing, but aging, library on the campus at Santa Teresa Boulevard. The two-story facility will include a library, admissions and records, financial aid, counseling, and numerous student resource and administrative support spaces. Miyamoto’s structural design consists of steel framing, a buckling-restrained braced frame lateral system and shallow cast-in-place concrete foundations.
