Helen Caloggero Women’s & Family Center is a new 137,000-SF medical office building (MOB) that unites medical offices and outpatient perinatal services under one roof. The project consists of a four-story superstructure atop a five-story, below-grade parking structure. Miyamoto developed the structural design for the core and shell, as well as the tenant improvements. The structural system utilizes SidePlate moment frames to accommodate the openness of the building at the perimeter. The design also includes a Columbia PL driveway at the first-floor slab deck and convenient subterranean parking containing approximately 475 spaces. 

This new MOB offers a variety of services, including a mother and baby assessment center, maternal diabetes and wellness services, maternal fetal testing, pelvic health and rehabilitation, perinatal education, OB/GYN and pediatric clinical offices, certified midwives, women’s mental health services, conference and education rooms, a birthing center, wellness services, a pharmacy and a Blue Bowl Superfoods outlet.
