Hercutech’s Hercuwall technology, an insulated wall panel system, has helped many challenging projects cut back on costs while providing unparalleled energy efficiency. Only requiring a smaller crew compared to that of traditional construction, these panel walls are prepared first then shipped to the construction site—similar to modular construction—where they are installed quickly. Miyamoto International is working with Hercutech in the further development of their panel walls. This project aims to improve the technology’s seismic performance, supporting a testing program and then using the data as backbone curve to determine the “R” factor using incremental dynamic analysis. By doing so, Hercutech will be able to offer their technology in high seismic regions and provide their superior strength, sustainability, fire resistance, sound rating and overall building quality to many more projects.
