Plaza Hotel & Casino Carousel Bar

Plaza Hotel & Casino Carousel Bar

There are few landmarks as iconic as Plaza Hotel & Casino’s twinkling dome facing Main Street at the western entrance to the Fremont Street Experience. Appreciated in many famous movies, such as the 1971 James Bond film “Diamonds are Forever” and “Back to the Future, Part II,” the hotel’s Main Street façade was reimagined to provide its guests with new entertainment and options for drinks, food and snacks. Among these is the centerpiece, directly under the dome’s pop-culture-famous lights, the Carousel Bar. The 2,500-SF outdoor venue provides guests with a truly unique atmosphere to enjoy cocktails, beer and wine surrounded by life-sized Vegas-themed elements, such as carousel horses that frolic up and down, spinning martini glasses, an oversized deck of cards and a rotating ribbon of lights above the bar. The venue includes an outdoor cooling system and seating for nearly 100 guests in booths, at the bar and along its outer rail overlooking Main Street. The expansion also added an upper-level patio eating area for the famous Oscar’s steak house, under which is the Brian Christopher Slots at Plaza, combining the latest, most advanced slot machines with fun photo spaces for guests. Lastly, adjacent to the Carousel Bar is a new Pinkbox Doughnuts shop, featuring an enormous, 3D doughnut with sprinkles as an entrance welcoming guests to satisfy their sweet cravings.
