Riverside University Health System Behavioral Health Campus

Riverside University Health System Behavioral Health Campus

The Wellness Village is a medical campus that aims to transform healthcare by integrating behavioral health treatment with medical care and social services. The development is divided into six buildings. Building 1 is for utility. Two, 3, 4 and 6 are multistory buildings reserved for various services. Five is a five-story, metal stud residential structure.

Miyamoto developed a seismic load resisting system utilizing structural steel for buildings 2, 3, 4 and 6, consisting of metal deck diaphragms and steel special moment frames with concrete grade beams and pad footings. We were involved with all structures, having also prepared the design for the single-story concrete masonry unit utility structure (Building 1) and the foundation and slab-on-grade design for the five-story metal-stud housing structure (Building 5).

  • Building 1 Utility (one-story)
  • Building 2 Community Wellness & Education Center (four-story)
  • Building 3 Children & Youth Services (three-story)
  • Building 4 Urgent Care Services (two-story)
  • Building 5 Supportive Transitional Housing (five-story)
  • Building 6 Extended Residential Care (two-story)
