The Sportsmen’s Lodge is a 615,000-SF Mixed-use Type III/I complex of seven three- to five-story buildings with 535 housing units, some below market value. The complex is situated along the LA River in the Studio City neighborhood of Los Angeles. Some buildings share a concrete podium with one to two levels of subterranean parking and extensive planted courtyard/park space above grade. Currently, Miyamoto is collaborating with the design team and the preconstruction partners
to develop the most cost-effective solution to certain complexities. These include, but are not limited to, three-story below-grade basements and high water table issues, soil issues due to adjacency to the LA river and coordination with the Army Corps of engineers.
