Showcases the natural diversity and geologic history of Northern California. Provides university faculty and students with unique opportunities to utilize permanent and temporary exhibits in their course curriculum. The museum also serves as a venue for traveling exhibits from around the world. The museum allows the University to display its wealth of specimens, as well as to collect and display objects entrusted to the museum for future exhibition and research. Constructed to meet LEED Silver specifications and has a community center that promotes science and mathematics education.
