The Libby Elementary School modernization and expansion project required a complete renovation and seismic upgrade of eight existing buildings and the addition of three new classroom buildings, a multipurpose building and two restrooms. By strategically orchestrating the modernization work with the seismic upgrades, the district was able to complete the seismic upgrade with limited additional costs. The upgrades enhance and protect the school district’s investment, reducing seismic risk and prolonging the lives of the existing buildings while providing a much safer learning environment for students, faculty and staff.
