Miyamoto Internati onal provided structural engineering services for the expansion of the Los Angeles Times’ former printi ng facility. The expansion is a two-story, 37,052-SF new ti lt-up concrete offi ce building, an additi on to the existi ng Sunfl ower Avenue offi ce building previously designed with Miyamoto as a subconsultant to Lusardi. Miyamoto fi nalized the 100 percent CD submitt al for the design changes and responded to plan-check comments and provided constructi on administrati on services. The additi on is part of The Press, an offi ce, retail and dining development geared towards a creati ve workforce set in a historic newsroom ambiance.
