The scope of tasks by Miyamoto Turkey included the consultancy services for RC and steel structures of Unilever Turkey’s Çorlu, Dilovasi and Çayirova facilities. All the main production facilities were evaluated and a retrofit priority schedule was determined depending on the importance of the investigated buildings and structures. Retrofit works varied from conventional methods of adding shear walls, column jacketing, FRP application to the application of innovative methods such as energy dissipated fluid viscous dampers. Consultancy services also included Peer-View for the structural design of steel racks and cold-formed storage buildings designed by third parties.
