This project by our non-profit arm, Miyamoto Relief, demonstrated the power of community-led recovery. In just eight weeks, our team mobilized local communities to repair earthquake-damaged multi-family compounds using locally sourced materials and safer construction techniques taught on-site. The program not only provided durable homes before the onset of winter but exceeded its initial goal by over 60%, showcasing a highly efficient and impactful model for humanitarian aid.
