Dr. Giulia Jole SechiĀ is a Project Manager and Structural Engineer with global experience delivering critical infrastructure across the private and humanitarian sectors. She is currently anĀ Associate at Miyamoto International, where she leads resilient reconstruction and engineering projects in disaster-affected regions around the world.
She has worked in over 25 countries, including Italy, Peru, Afghanistan, Ukraine, Haiti, Syria, Morocco, and the Marshall Islands, bringing technical leadership to high-stakes environments.
Her expertise spans emergency response, post-disaster and post-conflict reconstruction, and infrastructure development. From expanding correctional facilities to designing inclusive schools and building hospitals, she ensures every project meets the highest standards of safety, resilience, and engineering excellence.
Dr. Sechi holds a PhD in Architecture, with a focus on Disaster Studies. Her research explored how digital technologies can enhance Disaster Risk Reduction and strengthen the speed and quality of recovery.
With deep field experience and a proven record of delivering results, she has designed and implemented reconstruction programs, led technical training initiatives, and built lasting partnerships with government authorities and international donors. Her work supports immediate recovery efforts and advances infrastructure that drives long-term economic growth and stability.
