Lon M. Determan, S.E., has been part of the Miyamoto Building Structural team since 1995. As a Principal based in the Sacramento office, Lon brings more than 30 years of leadership and expertise in building structural seismic design, historic preservation, and essential service facilities, seismic safety assessments, certifications, and rehabilitation. A licensed Structural Engineer (CA S4654) and Civil Engineer (CA C57932), Lon is also certified by the California Office of Emergency Services (OES) as a Disaster Service Worker and holds OSHA certifications. He is widely respected for his deep technical knowledge, code expertise, and thoughtful approach to complex projects.
