The Graner House is a nationally registered historic property at Gold Hill in Coloma, CA. The restoration work was made possible by a grant from the California Cultural and Historical Endowment (CCHE), a state entity tasked with preserving and protecting California’s cultural resources and the American River Conservancy (ARC), a non-profit community organization that preserves natural areas and cultural resources and builds an enduring ethic of care. Miyamoto International was part of the team that created the stabilization plan for the restoration of the house. We stabilized the property by repair and reconstruction techniques. Estimated original construction date is 1856~1868. Limited seismic upgrade included new shear connections to existing stone masonry basement retaining walls and new plywood sheathing on roof.
