USAID BHA & IOM Shelter and Settlements Charrette 2025

Miyamoto International, in partnership with IOM and USAID/BHA, is launching an innovative Shelter and Settlements educational program at UC Berkeley that combines virtual learning modules with a three-day in-person charrette, bringing together students and young professionals from diverse disciplines to develop practical solutions for humanitarian shelter challenges faced by over 100 million displaced people worldwide.

Today, over 100 million people affected by humanitarian crises lack adequate shelter. Traditional approaches reach only 7% of those in need. We need fresh perspectives and innovative solutions to bridge this gap.
