Current Situation
Following two back-to-back earthquakes on June 24, 2026 — a USGS M7.2 event at 22:04:34 UTC followed by a USGS M7.5 event at 22:05:11 UTC — Miyamoto International is monitoring conditions and sharing engineering updates, field observations, and response resources as information develops.
Latest reported humanitarian figures: As of early August reporting, Venezuelan authorities reported 6,125 confirmed deaths, 16,740 injuries, and 60,992 people receiving care at hospitals. OCHA Situation Report #32 also reported nearly 212,000 people affected.
These reported figures are separate from Miyamoto’s model-based exposure estimates. Exposure estimates support situational awareness only and are not confirmed damage counts, casualty figures, or building-safety determinations.
