Description

The Juvenile Justice Campus phase 1 is a partial replacement for the existing Juvenile Hall building that was built in 1954. The new facility consists of four housing units with 96 beds total, an education complex with a gymnasium, and a support building that includes, administration, medical, intake, security, food service, dining, laundry and maintenance. A total of eleven new structures are being constructed which include approximately 131,000 square feet of space for a cost of $130M. Over a quarter of a million colored masonry blocks were utilized, including many that were insulated, reducing the carbon footprint and operating costs for the facility.
