This project for Dignity Health, formerly Catholic Healthcare West, is a 58,000-SF medical office building in Woodland. Three single-story buildings are joined together by a corridor with a clerestory design. The exposed concrete tilt-up walls offer a sustainable and multifunctional design that provides structural support and an architectural finish, which resulted in less construction materials and costs to the client. The design also called for glue laminated beams rather than heavy timber beams from old growth trees. The clerestory element helps to reduce energy consumption by maximizing available natural light.
