Gio Apartments, an infill project at the corner of Stockton & T, is a 5-story Mixed-Use, Type-III apartment building with 213 units wrapped on two sides and a Type-I parking garage accommodating approximately 234 parking spaces. This project also includes 6,000-SF of ground floor retail on T Street along with a resident’s clubhouse and pool on the fifth floor of the parking garage. The building is primarily a wood-framed building on top of a concrete structure with two-way conventional reinforced concrete podium slab. The lateral system consists of special reinforced concrete shear walls at concrete levels and wood framing sheathed with structural panels for shear resistance.
