Miyamoto conducted review and analysis of nine city-owned parking garages to identify structural issues. The assessments involved top-to-bottom visual inspections of each multi-level garage to observe structural conditions and document any deficiencies. Findings were summarized in individual Structural Survey Reports that included photo-documentation and information on structural as well as other architectural, aesthetic and/or maintenance issues (such as standing water, leaky pipes and missing caulk at joints). A list of recommendations and priorities were also included with the reports. Subsequently, the City retained Miyamoto to implement column strengthening improvements at facilities with the most dire need.
