KYIV, UKRAINE November 9th, 2022 โ€“ As the conflict in Ukraine rages in its ninth month, reconstruction and recovery needs are estimated at approximately US $349 billion. Given the overwhelming demand for structural engineering expertise of recovery, rebuilding, and retrofit efforts, Miyamoto International, world-leading experts in post-disaster response and recovery engineering, opened their 27th location in Kyiv, Ukraine.

โ€œSince the conflict escalated in February, Miyamoto International has continued to increase capacity building in Ukraine to bolster locally led recovery effort actionsโ€, said Dr. Kit Miyamoto, Global CEO of Miyamoto International and President of Miyamoto Relief.

Miyamoto Ukraine brings integrated relief and recovery efforts to liberated and conflict-affected communities. Ukraineโ€™s team seeks to address gaps in the current response effort through our integrated approach, including immediate relief and early recovery support. This includes employing a local approach in Ukraine and focusing on the most vulnerable communities and individuals

Dr. Miyamoto, who visited Ukraine during October Kyiv raids, believe in supporting local talent for reconstruction, โ€œOur team is composed by the most talented engineers in the region, led by Pavel Pokhalchuk as country manager, Yurii Hlava, as a lead engineer and construction manager and supported by the expertise of our staff across the globe, with over 100 responses to global disasters.โ€, said the structural engineer.

Yurii Hlava is an expert in the execution of large, complex, major projects, with a focus on residential and commercial infrastructure. He brings to Miyamoto more than 20 years of demonstrated achievement in engineering and project management across the country.
