Dr. Kit Miyamoto, Global CEO of Miyamoto International, has been honored with the prestigious ENR Award of Excellence for 2024. This award recognizes Dr. Miyamoto’s work in engineering, disaster risk reduction and post-disaster and post-conflict response across the globe.
As the head of Miyamoto International and the nonprofit Miyamoto Global Disaster Relief, Dr. Miyamoto has recently led initiatives providing critical engineering support and humanitarian assistance following devastating events in Turkey, Afghanistan, Haiti and Ukraine, among other regions worldwide. His passion for helping vulnerable communities prepare for and recover from disasters and conflicts has helped save countless lives.
Dr. Miyamoto accepted the award at the ENR Award of Excellence Gala in New York City on April 11th. “This honor really belongs to the more than 500 professionals I work with at Miyamoto International on all five continents,” he said. “Together, we’ll keep striving to save lives and strengthen communities.”
In honoring Dr. Miyamoto, ENR has spotlighted the transformative potential of engineering in the face of global challenges in climate change and post-conflict environments.
